First Game Remastered

The goal of this project was to make a better version of my first game. Both gameplay-wise and technically speaking the game wasn't very good. I decided to recreate the game with all the same features and then add to it.

The player sadly did not get many changes. It's movement system stayed mostly the same, and so did the code that allowed it to look around. The shooting however improved greatly. A big problem with the original was that there was no limit to the amount of bullets that you could fire, and you had to click for each individual bullet. I fixed this by adding a full-auto mode, and a limit to the rate of fire.
Combat also got an upgrade. Now there were both melee and ranged enemy types causing a lot more chaos. The way the rooms spawned changed from a grid to a snake-like system.
After a room spawned it would spawn a new one next, above or under itself after checking if there wasn't already a room there. Because of this there was no limit to how many rooms there could be, and there was no forced lineara path since it was possibe for the first room to be next to the last room or any room inbetween. Choosing to fight in a later room would always be a gamble since the enemies get stronger depending on how late their room spawned so the player's stats might be way too low to survive.
